It's not just Missery as NP so eloquently calls us, it's Kansas all over as well. OPee, not stealin' your thunder buddy, but does make you go Hmmmm? Then there's the Wilderness bunch, can't leave them out, 3 teams almost at every level, until you get to 15-17, then BAM, up to 7 teams in 15's and 5 in 17's! WOW There's sumpin' in da water down there? MAVS a long mainstay of the region, 12's with 6 teams now? Not bashing MAVS any, they are a top-flight #1 club, and if more kids & their parental units buy into them, more power to 'em! Take a Dynasty.sworn by their fearless leader to "keep it small, and train to be the very best", so this year they have added a 3rd team to their already younger folds of 11's 12's and 13's. If you all don't agree, stop, step back and take a look at the listing of "new" clubs, the growing list of 'newer' clubs(say last 4 years), and the oldies, but goodies who have been around for the ages. NP, you are hitting the bulls eye, nail on the head. " HOA is over saturated with clubs to the point of mediocrity.more kids playing.less development.less kids going forward. Ya think Fitz being 6'5" and still growing I might add.was just because the parental units watered, fertilized and set her in the sun more often. PS.and another thing, all you parents of the future, now single and looking."STOP MARRYING SHORT PEOPLE! We need some height in the HOA. that Ole NP's standard answered used way back then of "that's because you know nothing about volleyball now go sit down and be quiet" is nowadays taken better than it use to be? have the parental units advanced to a point where when they go "My DD should be (fill in the blank)."playing more, playing setter, playing middle, playing six rotations, etc" In consideration of Ole NP's splash back into the JRVB Club running, sponsor/facility in tow, but in consideration that Ole NP has been in the background for half a decade. HOA is oversaturated with clubs to the point of mediocrity.more kids playing.less development.less kids going forward. Tough to learn a killer slide if the best setter in that age is four courts over on another team and the best DS is four courts in the other direction. It's a team sport and ya gotta have both to develop. The questions to ask is What is the root cause and what is the fix?įrom Ole NP's point of few.too many clubs spreading both the player and coaching talent too thin. All metrics point in that direction.not just recruitment numbers. The reason the recruitment numbers are down is because the talent pool is down. Stop Two-Steppin around the elephant in the room OP'eee. 'm still trying to find out about the Shamu name and Batman avatar.
